The Panhandle Regional 9-1-1 Network is responsible for the planning, design, implementation and maintenance of the 24 county 9-1-1 emergency communications network. These services are delivered through 23 9-1-1 call centers, or Public Service Answering Points (PSAPs). We don’t answer 9-1-1 calls at the Planning Commission, but it is our responsibility to provide the telecommunications links, call-taking equipment, database maintenance, training and public education to support the public safety professionals serving the citizens of the Panhandle.
