Panhandle Regional Law Enforcement Academy
Law enforcement training is provided to the Panhandle's peace officers
through the Panhandle Regional Law Enforcement Academy (PRLEA). The Planning
Commission has a long-standing partnership with the PRLEA to provide in-service
training courses to the region's officers to fulfill state-mandated training
requirements and to offer advanced learning opportunities. Basic training classes
are also offered to enable persons to obtain their certification to become peace officers.
