The Rural Micro-Loan Program is designed to finance and facilitate development of small and emerging private business enterprises in rural areas. Rural counties, as defined by the U. S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) who capitalized the program, include all Panhandle counties except Potter and Randall Counties.
These business loans can be used for remodeling, improvements, purchase of land, buildings, equipment, furniture and fixtures, as well as working capital and gap financing. The PRPC Rural Micro-Loan Program encourages capital investment in order to promote new job creation and prevention of job losses.
The Amarillo MSA Micro-Loan Program is designed to provide small and emerging private businesses with increased access to capital in both Potter and Randall Counties. This program creates job opportunities and provides a means for businesses to grow. The Amarillo MSA Micro-Loan Program will primarily target, but will not be limited to, low to moderate-income individuals in the Potter and Randall County area.
These business loans can be used for most business purposes.
